Yeah, there's about 50 other threads within the confines of MR that touch on this subject. It's not a carbon copy, because it isn't based off of Unix/BSD and it still sucks balls. So.... lock?

Like every other atempt to rip Apple's design, this one also fails miserably. Yes, it's small, and yes, it has much tech goodies crammed into a small space. But the �designers� of this thing has totally missed the point. The Apple Cube was about breaking new ground, and do so in a graceful and elegant way. The Apple Cube made people drool. However, if you look at the back of the mac it says "1 GHZ Powermac" ... they indeed do not have the 1.25 powermac on display..

Crackdown, along with Saints Row seem like petrol station breaks before the destination. GTA just has a level of humour that doesn't seem as contrived as Saints Row, and personally I'm not keen on the future style of Crackdown (note my fave GTA so far is Vice City).
Because dialogue is very important in these games, and because GTA usually has great dialogue and no over the top super powers, just feels much more refined. Despite the previously buggy-as-hell engines.

I like computers just as much as the next geek but when you break it all down what can't you do with computers and OS's from even 5 years ago that you can today? In truth the only real benefits are that Windows and Mac systems are faster and more stable than they used to be. For Macs to make any inroads more innovation is the key. They cannot compete on price/performance and never will. Moving to x86 could help of course. Note that most people don't buy Macs because of price and not because of performance issues.
So with this in mind if you set aside the small contingent that truly needs faster Macs for their jobs in professional settings, the Mac really needs lower prices and more innovation. Do that and Apple will have a winner that they would need to open up the clone market again just to be able to make enough of them.
Frankly this whole benchmark argument is stupid for most of the people here. Benchmarks should be used as nothing more than a guide and you should have multiple sources if you want to base a purchasing decision from them alone. Too many people treat them as the end all be all.

You can't fake a Macintosh serial number without prying the firmware chip off the logicboard and putting another in.Ah, so this is how Apple keeps track of their customers. And I'm pretty sure they know the percentage of their software is pirated or not. It's easier to enforce piracy on a small closed platform such as Macintosh, but for Windows, it may prove a trickier task.

Dont you think that chip would be a little to hot... :D . Well, I fully agree with OS X being the best. But the OS and the quality apps are all that is going for apple. Apple lacks speed, but I cant blame apple for that (stupid moto :rolleyes:), but I can blame them for not dumping moto a long time ago. If apple computer were just as fast as PCs there is no way I would think about getting near a 'peecee', but they arent as fast :(...

I'm hoping the official announcement has them sticking WiFi in the system. I'm actually hoping my bro buys an Elite system and I'll have his old one for free. Then I'd buy a WiFi adapter after saving about �210!

BTW, the 970 might be used in laptops.
At 1.2Ghz it only uses 19 watts, that's damn nice.

I have one of the new ones on the Wiimote that came with Wii Play. It's a thicker gauge than my DS strap and the specical addition Mario DS strap my friend gave me.
I'm still thinking that 99% of these broken TVs were the results of Wii Sports Boxing and the person getting to close to the screen, or not putting the strap on in the first place.
