I'm sorry, but that just looks like an iPod that was dropped the exact same way about 1000 times.
I think that Apple has better design sence than that. ;)

Using a simple Automator script or Applescript could open Safari in private browsing mode by default.
I guess this is true... I guess I shouldn't imply that it is impossible now... rather that it would be nice if it was an account option that an admin could specify on a by-account basis. :)

Well it's been decided, I'm going with ASO and the medium plan as I really don't need much at this point since I won't have any animations up for some time. Thanks to those that posted here and sent/answered my emails.
I'm just waiting for ASO to allow plans/packages to be sold and then I can start my new adventure/future of displaying my cartoons/art to anyone that wishes to view them :D

Okay... maybe this will help end this overclock issue.
When a target speed is hit and chips come off the line one of 4 things will happen with a given chip.
1 - BAD CHIP goes on the junk pile (this is what drives up the price on 'good' chips.
2 - GOOD CHIP @ SPECd SPEED (okay thats fine)
3 - GOOD CHIP below SPECd SPEED (move that to the slower chip pile)
4 - GOOD CHIP above SPECd SPEED (this can happen)
Now in the past those 'better than spec' chips were just thrown into the pile with the rest of the 'just spec' chips but there is nothing from stopping MOT from putting those chips in an 'over spec' pile (only makes sence if there are a good number of over spec chips to begin with) and re-rate them as 1.25Ghz CPUs.
Is it overclocking? I dunno... I know it is when 'joe hacker' OCs a CPU it is since JH is just 'guessing' how far he/she can push a CPU but if MOT has the kind of equipment required to really test the chip to make sure it's okay running at that speed then I'm not sure I'd call it overclocking.
Its all how you look at it...

i'd picture a 60, 80, 120 GB HD line, with the RAM being 256, 512, 512.
i really dont see Apple maxing out the RAM as a base config.

I love how an update ''PORT" is classed as an "EXCLUSIVE" ..
That has to be the biggest OXY-MORON ever.
I'd get this 'IF' they have a difficulty option. The original Ninga Gaiden was toooooo hardcore that I got very fustrated and eventually lost interest.

Well kinda,
you can start only one process, and never the other (command line "start1") but it really won't get you anywhere in most cases. Since the system sets the priority so low for folding, you will not notice if both processors are folding at the same time. I can run folding@home while encoding H.264 in relatively the same amount of time as I can running only the H.264 encoding software alone.
The Folding@home FAQ in my signature has great information in regards to the program, and you can go to Stanford's site to learn more detailed information.
So in short,
You can fold on only one process at a time if you like, but the speed loss you experience on other processes while folding are next to nill. I am one of many people in the fold that rarely shut the folding application down on my system.
HTH, and others please chime in with corrections or your input!

Oh Ok thanks.......well then not really a difference :p

Nothing new will come out this month. The deal on the displays is over. No new displays. If anything, Apple will pitch a new incentive deal and nothing more.

Actually, I should be able to do it, you would have to choose your targets yourself though. I will not be able to provide you with the closest threats and/or overtakes, but if you know who you want to track, it's not that hard to show/calculate.
I'll first clean up the code, add detailed stats, Then i'll redesign the layout and incorporate the threats/overtakes (this might take a while - busy period @ work).
Now if someone would post this widget in this (http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=128541) thread i'd be a happy man. I would do it myself, in fact i almost did...
Come to think of it, asking is the same as posting it myself but... bah.. lol prrt <over and out> sry
;)
Here (http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?p=1480891#post1480891), now don't go around saying I never do anything for you :D.
I was actually going to post that before I even read your request, but I figured for sure someone would beat me to it.

D'OH!
I can't get 0.7 to work. I deleted all my preferences and everything, but the new version still won't work properly. It starts up on the first launch, but that's it. It's completely unusable for me :( Guess I'll just have to wait for the next version. Too bad, because the 0.63 is quite unstable too and I was really waiting for this release.
Hmmm...what are you running? That's so strange. All I did was drop it in the folder and it ran. Do you think its possible you have some program that interferes with it? Did you also try a permissions repair in case there is a permission associated with Adium that is screwed up? :(

This is just the double your memory promotion. If you notice you double your memory and it will cost you $40 more. The savings you get is what they are listing as the instant saving.
Here's an example.
PowerBook faster configuration. Price starts at $3,199 it says, " save $360 instantly off all memory upgrades!" If you were to add a second 512MB dimm it would cost $400. Take the $360 from the $400 dollars and what do you get $40. Which is what the double the memory promotion is, "Get twice the RAM for only $40.".
The Powerbook ultimate configuration is already maxed out on memory so they just give you the $360 off the price.

i learned a few years ago that you can never try to show someone else their mistakes, theyll only hate you for it... at this point its become a disgusting obsession with a lot of mac-junkies to show that a g4 is faster than a pentium. at this point its not, the OS is better, the software is better, the user experience is so much more enjoyable its idiotic to even argue.. but lets face it, head to head, single cpu to single cpu th3y got us beat.
ill agree with everyone though, theres a big-storm coming, and when the g5s with 5megs l3 operating at 2gHz are released in mid-2003... its over... for a while.
ive seen dual AMD systems with both cpus at 1.8, and it is amazing... but so what? im not about to trade speed and windows, for enormous power and osX. i dont play games so theres no edge there...
we're right, we know it, and the rest are idiots (except the gamers and CAD, they know what theyre doing)... but i think the matter has been argued enough already, so let me exit with another thing thats been said FAR TOO often...
give us the g5 goddamnit!!

vix....... I hear ya man. These dudes need to get with it, The PC world is leaps and bounds ahead with their laptops and their $3000 machines smoke the $3200 PB800. I am ready to give Apple as much as $4110 for a laptop with options/more RAM etc... But they just aren't giving me a reason to do so yet! I too may just go and get a second hand Duel 800 or something and a nice 22" used monitor of ebay.

I guess I should have searched first, but it didn't occur to me that anyone else would have proposed something this otw. :o
Maybe when I actually get my backwards compatible Xbox 360 and PS3, I'll be more willing to throw caution to the wind and give this a go. For now, I'll leave it for braver folk than I.
