He didn't actually say there would be no Apple PDA in the future. He "downplayed" the possibility. But he could bring out any device, PDA or PDA-like and that would not make him a liar.
That said, I believe it is fairly unlikely at the moment.
But if they call it an iWalk I am going to jump off a cliff. That would be so embarrassing.

I have seen the interest decline among people here at MR. Most people seem to have gone over to folding@home...

Ok ok I might be a bit rough but the last time I played DVD player on Windows... whenever I inserted the DVD movie, there's a popup that say do you want to install this new DVD player app? This sucks too. :cool: Can you name me one of their good dvd player and I can check it out? Thanks! :p
When I had my PC, I used to use intervideo WinDVD (I think that is what it was called). Works a heck a lot better than Dell's version. :)

It would seem as if (with Inkwell) apple could seriously start leaving keyboards behind and put out something that is a cross between a Newton & a Powerbook, and nobody would ever complain. If this is fake, it probably wouldn't be for too long.

What kind of school group was it?
What did you and others who didn't get stuck do while waiting for those that did get stuck?
What did those who got stuck tell you about the experience later?
Did any of them get interviewed by the media?
Did Apple explain what happened? Did they apologize or make any other nice gestures? Do you think they handled it as well as they could?
Will you ever go back there?

I had a browse through the member lists the other day, I was really surprised at the numbers of members who have never posted at all, and the vast majority of the posters are well below even 100 posts, I have to say that I find the sense of community here much more coherent and friendly than any other forum site.
I'm sure it's down to the strictness of arn's administration and the good work of the mods, I think a lot of new members would do well to remember this isn't a democracy, it is a benign dictatorship.
Does V-bulletin allow any stats on log-ins? Theoretically an unused account could be deactivated after a period of time I suppose.

Can't say that I'll have a use for it. I'll be rid of my loaner Dell from work by June when I'll have all the money saved for an MBP. But as a PC user I've been content with Office 2003. It's been great for all my presentations and document editing needs.
And nope not ugly. Not a beautiful presentation but by no means ugly.

We're all doing this because it's fun and also because we know we are doing something good. I'm hoping this community will help me do something good for my nephew. My sister and her husband entered into a contest and they can win $10,000 scholarship money for their child. They make very little money on a yearly basis and I'm trying to help them win this contest so their son can have a shot at college.
