If you download the full version of the Internet Channel before July then it will always be free. You will not be spending a penny on the channel at all, ever.
If you download the full version after July you will have to buy it for 500 points.
Oh I getcha, that articles is worded a little oddly.
My beef with their points value still stands though.

The iBook is a great portable for mac users. The PB is a more than decent desktop replacement for mac users.
I work in photoshop on a tibook and i totally
agree. powerbook for anything professional
or the ibook for more of a hobby. I love my

Well I really really want to order this Ibook, but knowing my luck when I do they will release a new one. I don't really care about a speed bump, but does I just hope they don't upgrade the video card on these things right when I buy one.
I really want to get one on order since its going to take 7-10 days to be built anyways....

it's advertising. they use what looks best. one tv advert [where i am] showed someone doing their banking via the internet on an imac. the bank concerned doesn't support macs. a large pc seller has a an advert about leasing instead of buying, the computer used in the advert is a pismo, the apple logo is PSed out

Nah, that was for the cheaper is better debate.
If that were true we would all be buying Daewoo's right now.
And you'll note I didn't compare them to Mercedes, because I would have purchased the big Daewoo (the one with the Mercedes powertrain) if they imported it for under 20k.
However the 200MPH Yugo is just plain silly, and could be considered a cheap suicide note.
I just didn't want to get into the Apple vs. PC debate - because I lack the reality distorting drugs.
Once again
Note: the above post has no basis in reality. But for those that have always used Apples, sometimes it's really hard to think like a PC user without drugs.

The key to success in today's market is to focus on what you do best. An examination of Apple's moves over the last ten years shows that the company has done precisely that. Apple has dropped its game console, PDAs, digital still cameras, printers, and scanners. Its most recent move was to sell PowerSchool. The results speak for themselves. Apple is wildly successful. So the answer to your question would be "No!"

i had a dream, that the next generation apple prosumer machine, whould still have the "el capitan" case, but the case would be shiny!!
i would have a mercury (quicksilver) "color" or finish.
it would be semi-see-thru.
if i were good in creating stuff in photoshop, i would try to recreate my "dream" machine.
maybe someone out there would want to give it a shot. and recreate it.

Was also looking forward to this until I saw the review. They say the problems are all in execution, not concept, and that's where Wii games have to shine the most.
I actually like IGN's Wii reporting - as judged by the spate of reviews in the last few days, they aren't afraid to give out 5s and 6s (Cooking Mama, Wing Island, Kororinpa) - anti-grade inflation. I wouldn't buy or not buy solely on their word, but it helps. Even if they are a pair of punks.
Think this is a "wait until it's $19.99" game.
I think the problem is the reviews, IGN reviews are generally trash.

The Apple Store @ The Toronto Eaton Centre opened Saturday morning.
http://static.flickr.com/50/141541460_ba98ec920d_o.jpg
Hundreds of Apple fans were waiting in line for the most anticipated store openining at The Eaton Centre in recent memory. The first 1000 received the much coveted limited edition Apple T-Shirt.
This is the second Apple Store in Canada (the other one also in Toronto @ Yorkdale Mall) and will be another boost to Apple's share of the market in Canada.
Since I first purchased my PowerBook last year, I've directly influenced the decision of more than 10 people in switching as well. If this trend continues, we're going to have quite a few people getting Macs this year.

But my comment still applies - why not use PNG.
Ignore my previous post. I finally got around to reading the spec more closely.
This format appears to be very different from all other image file formats (even lossless ones). If I read the spec correctly, it stores a camera's red/green/blue sub-pixels separately and does not combine them into whole pixels (which JPG, PNG, TIFF and most other formats use). So the data more accurately reflects the layout of a camera's CCD element.
I still think they could get this feature via an extension to PNG or TIFF without needing to create a whole new format. They probably decided that it's easier to just release something and say "my way or the highway" than to submit drafts to a standards body to add a feature to an existing spec.

That is not the one that i found on apples site. That is one from a person named apple58 who put it on the boards a long time ago. We are talking about one that i found on the 28th on a private server of apple's. It has the engineering scematics and circuitry for firewire 2, the other pdf does not.

lol oh no the history major has spoken. i enjoyed the brief recap you gave about the revolution and apple's history but that wasnt what i was going for. im strictly talking about the two men themselves.
As the french revolution proceeded, Robespierre came to associate himself more and more with the essence of the conflict at hand. In the revolutions worst years, Robespierre was often noted to speak of an illness he acquired, he said that his life was not interwoven with the revolution. through the massacres and even the terror, Robespierre defended these acts b/c he was convinced that they were needed for the revolution to really come to fruition. i believe Robespierre compromised himself to become this greater cause, and went to extreme lengths to excuse the revolution and allow it to proceed uncontrolled. extreme? yes. but i feel robespierre really did come to represent the cause and errors that were the revolution
now i say robespierre and jobs are alike b/c jobs seems to be apples own "personal representative". Like robespierre, jobs is known for being difficult to work for. strictly b/c jobs refused to compromise the goal of apple in any way, and robespierre did the same by excuses the murders. the two characters persist in thier cause and like wise meet opposition from within thier own cabinet. thats some of what i think
oh and btw im a history major two, well double major with biochem.cheers

As an obvious sign that things are slow, people are digging up old threads to find something to talk about......blah!
Hopefully something will happen tomorrow with the ibook/tibp/OSX

Yes, you read that that right -- it takes over 13,000 more 2GHz AMD processors to equal the work-unit crunching power of "just" 32K PowerBooks!
I'm a little surprised by that, that's pretty impressive. Now if we could only match them on their superficial MHz terms then we'd do more than blow the competition out of the water!

Just look at what the new towers are shipping with on the base systems.
Thankyou, I didnt say state of the art. If you knew -zip- about computers then you aren't going to get the best of the best. your going to get the cheapest new computer you can afford. I know, I had an LC630, then (sadly) a PC and now i have a cheapo PC (hey, i have ordered 2 brand new G4s and didnt have enought left over for a PB).
