I would really love to know what people think of Apple using a company in China that has abused its staff by overworking them. Please answer honestly and remain anonymous if you like.

Apple doesn't own any of its factories in China, it sub-contracts to them. The allegations made in the press have been that Apple have been using sub-contractors who under-pay and over-work their employers. These sub-contractors also are also used by other electronics companies. A subtle difference but an important one.
This does not excuse Apple from taking any action if it hears of any unethical practice by any of its sub-contractors however. I would like to think that Apple would take action agaist any contractors that abuse human rights.
Remember that Foxconn isnt just based in China- it also has a factory in Czech republis, where Mac-minis are made.

MySpace is an atrocious abomination of blogging and personal webpages. The sites take forever to load (if they load at all), the interfaces are useless, and they automatically start playing crappy low-quality music without even asking.

Personally, I stand for moral relativism every day. It is more important to me that individuals make decisions based on what they feel - individually - are right and wrong. I am glad that some here believe blindly following the "law" keeps them safe both morally and in the eyes of our fine government.
But let me ask you this... in your soul (if you believe in such things), do you really believe it is "wrong" to purchase a song off the iTMS without DRM? I am all for breaking the "law" as long as you know the consequences.

True, but tell that to someone in one of those "10.4.x b0rked my system" threads... you only need such a thing once to appreciate it being there....
With regard to BitLocker... I'm kind of surprised that you need either the TPM or the USB drive... for an enterprise type of security feature, and cannot use some sort of network drive or keyserver, although I guess there are downs to that too....
Well if understand it correctly the reason it can not use a network drive is by the looks of it most of the stuff is in the the area of the drive that requires the key. A lot of that stuff being needed for the OS and since you can not boot up to get on to the network drive it needs something connect to the computer it self to do it (either that be USB or TPM. It does have risk though because if you loose the usb the key is on you are sol on getting you data unlock.)

Firefox still has a long way to go with their Bookmark management system. It was a real pain trying to organize bookmarks using their Manage Bookmarks window. For instance you can't organize bookmarks from the left pane, only from the right. Plus you can't re-order bookmarks directly from the personal toolbar.
Their RSS/Live bookmark feature is cool, but you can't aggregrate them into a single folder.
They have to work on the middle scroll button; one flick of the wheel and half a page scrolls by, there is no way to change the increments or is there?

1. This won't likely ever be www.google.com, which is a very minimalist page designed to display correctly (and swiftly) on almost anything.
2. Apple lawsuit is unlikely -- they haven't bothered anyone about making actual OS docks for Windows and Linux. Besides, there's no copyright on the functionality of something, and I don't think the Dock is patented.

as much as I would love for this to be a sure sign, seeing as how I am going to buy a PBTi in october (hopefully), everyone should note that it is probably just a stock photo. If you pay attention to Ads, namely office and car ads, you will notice that for the most part the computers that show up are macs because it is the creative people that are making the ads and as we all know, creatives should and do use macs whenever and where ever possible.

Process 2 on my G4 is having the same issue
It is getting a 404 error on that process, and it won't turn in my previous work unit. All IP and internet connectivity is doing well. I will see if Process 1 runs into the same problem when it is completed.

Sounds like stealing music to me..
I figured I'd get blasted for this after I post. The thing is, the share feature is incorporated into iTunes and lets you listen to other peoples music. I want to download their music so I can put it on my iPod. I'm still only listening to it and not selling it or making money off it.. I dunno.
