Is this the one by Hudson too? They don't normally develop poo. Another game I wasn't planning on getting gets a bad score :o I wish they stuck this into a Wii- generation game (Wii Fly?), gave it a decent multiplayer and then it might have appeal.

Often the office I work at gets quite cold, so I offer this possibility. Yet another astounding innovation from apple, dual processor super computer / place heater. Perfect for keeping your feet toasty those cold winter days...

Finally. I'll be testing it tonight and posting a full report. The 0.10 version was where I started and that had ISSUES... but the .11 has been almost flawless. I'll go grab 0.12.

I really hope Skype support Video next year so we can have a realiable and popular cross platform video talk application

Yes--no sign of Final Cut Pro having been altered. Why remove a nice feature of the bundle?

Sountrack is still mentioned in the Final Cut Pro info at Apple.com--and in fact, Soundtrack itself still has its own page at Apple. It's just the store that no longer lists it. So by itself it seems to be gone, but it lives on with Final Cut.

Maybe the next Final Cut will just come with a video-enabled GarageBand variation?

Apple has announced its second Canadian store.

As was widely known, Apple Store - Toronto Eaton Centre has been under construction for some time. One could peek through the door crack and see a nearly complete store.

The newest Apple store will open its doors on Saturday, May 6 @ 9.30am

Awesome! I'll have to see if amacgenius wants to hoof up there this weekend.

Check out the report on Think Secret about an unnamed technology company accumulating Apple stock through brokers. As a former IBM employee, I can tell you this is exactly the way Big Blue behaves when it wants to buy a company.

It makes perfect sense -- IBM will be making the Apple processors, it gets a desktop product to compliment it's Power-4 servers. It kills off its money losing PC business, but gets to remain a player in the field while taking on Microsoft head to head.

IBM gives Apple 100% product development autonomy and something it's never had before -- a sales channel into the Fortune 500. OS X computers in a corporate office is a tough sell, but link them up to IBM mainframes and UNIX servers and suddenly you have a compelling, cost effective, secure alternative to Wintel anarchy.

I'm an Apple fan all the way..but sometimes I think you guys are dreaming things up to make yourselves feel better. You buy a computer "for what it can do." Part of what it can do involves how fast it can do it. Sure I can do xyz on my mac, but in most cases, xyz is much much faster on x86 hardware. Albeit some things exist solely on the mac thru OS X and that experience. However, you just cannot deny that part of buying a computer for something involves how fast you can do that something. With some tasks speed is irrevelant, however some it's definitely not.

I run across these people almost daily.

There are many people who only started buying Macs when 10.1 of OS X became available. I have booted neither of my Macs in OS 9. And I'll only buy applications that will run under OS X.

Arcady is right about the older machines (for the ones that are still running), however, there are many new machines that people will never boot into OS 9 to counterbalance Arcady's comment.

Also, with what I know about Intel chip architecture, I wouldn't want to run any OS on it. it's an inferior architecture.

    Still sounds bogus to me.

A no-name company announces a product which has capabilities that no competing product can come close to offering. Yet, prior to its announcement, there were no hints as to its creation. Also, this coincides with PearPC reaching a usable level.

And now, they "delay" the release of the product because of a web site failure caused by many people visiting their site?

    I still don't buy it.

OMFG! You guys are driving me NUTS!

This stalking of Apple and everything they do has gone from "mildly amusing" to downright freakishly weird! Before I switched I considered Mac users strange...THIS IS WHY!

The only people making a big deal out of the 30th anniversary are you stalkers. The endless amusment provided for Steve Jobs and Co. can not be overstated.

New products will come out when they're good and ready.

Oh, and there's already a ton of threads on this in the rumors fora.

[/end rant, tongue only slightly in cheek] ;)

If I had kids (no offense, kids), they wouldn't be on the Internet at all without my supervision. Now before you go chastising me, I am ASTONISHED at what some 14 year olds know here - things and subjects I had not even dared to approach at that age - and they got it off the net form most conversations I've had.

That said, our local police here used a MySpace site to bust two kids that had beaten a couple of classmates to near senselessness. Yah, Myspace. Otherwise "vanity on acid" was a very adept description.

I was in the same boat waiting to see if Microsoft would release an updated 360, but I decided to buy one anyway. I got a really good deal on the one I bought even though it had to be shipped back for repairs a week later. I luck out and got one of the models with a quieter drive in it.

Gears of War is awesome and Rainbow Six Vegas is a great game. I have mine hooked up to my surround sound via a digital optical cable. The 5.1 sound is great. I know my neighbors don't appreciate it. I don't have a TV with HDMI yet, but for right now this will do.

If you are dying to play some of the games go ahead and buy a 360 now. If they do come out with an update later in the year you would have had several months to enjoy playing plenty of games. Besides updates are the natural of the tech beast. The only way you can get a head of the curve is if you have a bank roll like Steve Jobs.

oh, and if the internet provider is giving you the run-around.
    http://www.ip-adress.com/

go here, type in the IP address and it'll tell you exactly where the server is that they are connected to. It gives you the IP latitude and IP longitutde.

tell them that it is being connected at this server location and they'll be able to location exactly which hub it's being connected at and .. yea. trace the burgulars home down..

its says I'm from Phoenix but I"m not from there.....or is that where my ISP is from?

. . .Apple bought out El Gato Software, which makes EyeTV? This would be another entertainment acquisition for Apple and would allow Apple to extend the digital hub to the television and VCR. Apple could make their own "iTV" software for Mac OS X to be used in conjunction with the EyeTV TV tuner or an actual television. They could add RF and RCA inputs to the back of new computer systems that would allow to hook up your TV, VCR, and even a cable box to your Mac; you could also hook up the EyeTV TV tuner to your Mac through USB. You could then do everything that EyeTV can do and possibly more.

Would this actually work? What might be the advantages and disadvantages? Do you think it's a great idea?!?! :) :D

EDIT: BTW, this is not a "What would the world be like. . ." thread. It is a thread about Apple and EyeTV. Don't be a "fool" like 'mymemory' was below!
